Intel buys McAfee at $7.68B

World's Chip giant Intel announced its full acquisation of a security company McAfee. The deal, which was agreed by both boards of directors, is valued at US$7.68 Billion.

Both boards of directors have unanimously approved the deal, which is expected to close after McAfee shareholder approval, regulatory clearances and other customary conditions specified in the agreement.

Inside Intel, the company has elevated the priority of security to be on par with its strategic focus areas in energy-efficient performance and Internet connectivity.

A friend of mine came to me with a problem which am sure you may have encoutered one time or another, his clients' email had been hacked so they were blocked out of their own accounts. This article is not about how to hack or secure emails its about the problem faced by all web application desginers -Authentication.

Before we proceed lets go over the a few applied authentication methods used currently in Web Applications.

Why you are not allowed to use your cell phone in airplanes and hospitals?

Most of us experience electromagnetic interference on a fairly regular basis. For example:

  • If you put your cell phone down on your desk near the computer, I can hear loud static in your computer's speakers every time the phone and the tower handshake. In the same way, your car's tape player produces loud static whenever I make a call on your cell phone.

What do you know about BOTNET?


A botnet is a network of zombie computers controlled by a single entity. The term is a blend of the phrase "Robot Network".  Sometimes are known as a collection of software robots, or bots, that run autonomously and automatically.

Usually the zombies in use of a botnet are compromised computers running on the Microsoft operating system and sometimes Linux though it’s for it’s rare to get infected with some sort of malware.
